So I have to admit that I definitely don’t know much about art. And walking through an art gallery sometimes makes me think ??? I do know though, that some art is just so amazing & beautiful & is just instantly appealing. That is how I felt when I first saw the art of Bill Wilkinson. I love the colours and the texture of his pieces and I would just love to fill my house with them. Read more here

My family and I lived in Toronto when I was about 3 until I was 5 years old. I don’t remember much from this time, but I do remember having a crush on the lifeguard at the local pool, Sonny. And I also remember him swimming to the bottom of the pool to find my ring that had fallen off. But I think the best thing about living there was that the lake we lived by would freeze over in the winter, allowing us to go ice skating. it was so much fun, and probably the only thing that I miss. Well that and Sonny of course!

Kits Beach, Vancouver

I could only live in Victoria for so much longer, so I decided to move to Vancouver instead. I love Vancouver, it is so beautiful. My first place was in Kitsilano, right near the beach. I can’t wait to get back to Vancouver.

Once I got back home from England, I needed a job. Me and Jo, both got job’s at Victoria’s newest pub, The Irish Times. It was a pretty awesome place with gold plated taps and over 30 beers on tap. Great pub, I only wish I spent more time there drinking rather than working.

This picture really has the feel of what things were like when we got back. It was so hard to adjust to going back to a normal, boring, everyday lifestyle. Cami and I both ended up working for the cafe on the other end of this breakwater.
After our amazing year it was time to go back home. This felt like the saddest day of my life. Cami, for some reason had a dream of being picked up at the ferry terminal. So instead of flying from Vancouver to Victoria, we took the ferry. Unfortunately we only had a bag full of summer clothes and it was freezing out, haha thanks Cams!
